Role Overview

We're seeking an exceptional Technical Product Manager who's eager to grow into a full Product Manager role. In this pivotal position, you'll drive the development of our next-generation SPIFFE implementation, shaping the future of workload identity, authentication, authorization, and security. Key Responsibilities

  • Drive product strategy and own the roadmap for our workload identity platform
  • Write and refine PRDs, focusing on innovative features that leverage SPIFFE's potential
  • Working with engineering teams on design reviews, ensuring alignment with our vision of frictionless security
  • Prioritize projects, balancing technical debt with cutting-edge feature development
  • Collaborate closely with engineering to implement new security features and patterns
  • Ensure a cohesive user experience that allows for rapid adoption of workload identity
  • Organize and lead cross-functional team syncs and stakeholder meetings
  • Spearhead our open-source initiatives, engaging with the SPIFFE and broader CNCF community
  • Act as a key liaison between our technical teams, business stakeholders, and enterprise customers
  • Develop and track key product metrics that demonstrate the value of workload identity
  • Create and maintain product documentation, crucial for enterprise adoption
  • Participate in customer discovery calls, translating enterprise needs into product requirements
  • Collaborate with marketing on conducting market research to identify emerging trends and opportunities
  • Support sales and customer success teams, helping to showcase the benefits of our platform to enterprises

Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience as a Technical Product Manager in security, SaaS, or infrastructure software
  • Strong technical background
  • Proven track record of delivering complex technical products in a startup environment
  • Excellent project management and prioritization skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Outstanding communication skills, able to explain complex concepts to various audiences
  • Experience with agile development environment
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Deep understanding of cloud-native technologies, modern authentication systems, and zero trust principles
  • Familiarity with Workload Identity, SPIFFE, secret management, k8s, service-mesh and other cloud-native technologies
  • Knowledge of authentication, authorization, identity, and access management technologies
  • Experience with open-source software communities, particularly within the CNCF ecosystem
  • Knowledge of DevOps practices and enterprise security needs
  • Experience in product management beyond technical aspects
